Heating renovation for sustainability: Hermann Umweltservice is now heating with a combination of heat pumps and gas boilers. The new heating system reduces energy consumption and brings security of supply as well as comfort.

Photovoltaic system reduces heating costs
For the best cost/benefit ratio, it quickly became clear that a photovoltaic system should also be integrated into the system. The green electricity from the system with an output of 98 kWp is used almost all year round for the heat pumps. "We decided on a façade PV system so that we can use the full energy of the sun even in autumn, winter and spring when the sun is lower," explains Johannes Hermann. The system is completed with the TransTherm aqua fresh water station from Hoval, which helps to ensure that sufficient hot water is available at all times.
